The Open Guide to London: the free London guide

A cozy pub on the outskirts of the City, a short distance from Old Street Station. But two real ales on tap when we visited - Marston's Pedigree and Bass - both were reasonably kept. Serves toasties until 10pm for �2 [Dec 2004]. Has a largish upper room that can be booked for private functions, with an upstairs bar that can be opened given enough patrons and notice. Gents' loos are in the basement; Ladies' on the first floor, which complicates disabled access to the premises. Worth a visit.
