Note that the official name of this club is "trades" with an 's'.
This is a club in the tradition of working men's clubs but with a greater emphasis on political information and activity - but there's no gender bar here!
The building is on two floors with a bar downstairs, and a function room upstairs, (equipped as a studio theatre)which hosts regular comedy nights and events. Entry to the building is by entryphone.
The facilities of WLTUC are available to members of the Club and their guests. To join as a full member, you need to be a member of a trade union (though you can still participate as an associate member if you are not in a union). To be allowed in as a guest, you must be signed in by a member of the Club.
There are two hand pumps - usually with one dispensing a frequently changing real ale: Taylor's Landlord, Bombardier, Deuchars IPA, Adnams, etc. Guinness, Labatt's and Stella are also on offer, and they have a range of spirits on optics, including Glenmorangie.
