Turn around and you will see the <a href=\"?London_Eye\">London Eye</a>.</p>\n<p><i>Traditionally, this has been the meeting point for fictional <a href=\"?Spies\">spies</a>, who would choose to sit on a bench feeding the ducks and exchange a few coded phrases and their briefcases before returning to their respective <a href=\"?Whitehall\">Whitehall</a> departments or foreign embassies.</i> -- <a href=\"?Aegidian\">aegidian</a></p>\n<p>The nearest tube is unsurprisingly <a href=\"?St_James%27s_Park_Station\">St James's Park Station</a> but you can easily walk to a number of other stations nearby including <a href=\"?Charing_Cross_Station\">Charing Cross</a>, <a href=\"?Piccadilly_Circus_Station\">Piccadilly Circus</a>, <a href=\"?Westminster_Station\">Westminster</a> or  <a href=\"?Victoria_Station\">Victoria</a>.</p>\n<p>St James' Park is wedge-shaped with three well-known roads running around it - [Horse Guards Parade]<a href=\"?action=edit;id=Horse_Guards_Parade\">?</a>, <a href=\"?The_Mall\">The Mall</a> and [Birdcage Walk]<a href=\"?action=edit;id=Birdcage_Walk\">?</a>, all of which are useful for both motor vehicles and cycles, although The Mall is closed to motor vehicles on Sundays. The Mall exits right into <a href=\"?Trafalgar_Square\">Trafalgar Square</a>.</p>\n<p>This is the closest park to <a href=\"?Locale_Soho\">Soho</a>, just a few minutes' walk from <a href=\"?Piccadilly_Circus\">Piccadilly Circus</a> (walk down [Regent Street]<a href=\"?action=edit;id=Regent_Street\">?</a> towards the statue at the end of Waterloo Place; the park is just down the steps and across The Mall).</p>\n<p>At the palace end, just the other side of The Mall and the Queen Victoria Memorial is [Green Park]<a href=\"?action=edit;id=Green_Park\">?</a>. You can walk or cycle practically all the way from Westminster to <a href=\"?Locale_Kensington\">Kensington</a> or <a href=\"?Locale_Bayswater\">Bayswater</a> without leaving parks - cyclists and pedestrians cross from Green Park into <a href=\"?Hyde_Park\">Hyde Park</a> via the <a href=\"?Wellington_Arch\">Wellington Arch</a> at <a href=\"?Hyde_Park_Corner\">Hyde Park Corner</a>.</p>\n<p>However, officially you can only really cycle around the roads at the edge of St James's Park. It's still quite pleasant though - these are wide roads with much less traffic than other Central London roads (mostly taxis).</p>\n<p>You can use deckchairs in the park but they're not free - sooner or later an attendant will come round much like a bus conductor.
