Alternative type pub in Croydon. Plays loud (alternative) music and has good beer. The Spitfire was very drinkable and only *2.25 a pint [June 2004]. Appears to be the hangout of choice for the drinking parts of Croydon's pagan community, amongst others. Bar staff are possibly slightly over-eager to throw customers out at closing time.
