Ray's Jazz Cafe used to be in a street just off Charing Cross Road in London's West End but it nearly closed for good. Today, however, it resides in Foyles bookshop on the first floor (just past computing). This brings Foyles into the current century by combining bookshops with coffee shops, but is also a bit better than usual because they haven't simply gone for one of the big multinational chains such as Starbucks. It serves mostly organic produce and has light Jazz music in the background.
