Note that trains are sometimes turned around at North Acton. There is a special, middle platform for the purpose. If you are heading West beyond North Acton and the train is due to terminate at North Acton, it's probably a good idea to change trains at East Acton to save having to walk over the footbridge.
\nAt peak times, seeing an empty train on the middle platforms can be good news - a guaranteed seat into Central London.
