Morgan M is a very nice, if slightly fancy, French-ish place. You need to book: it has maybe 14 tables upstairs (bright, airy room) and a private room for 14 downstairs. It was full on a Tuesday evening when I went.

The chef was previously head chef at The Admiralty, and it shows: wonderful food and service.

They have two set menus (one of them entirely veggie), or you can choose three dishes from the à la carte menu for 30. We had the non-veggie set menu, which was 39 each, and the wine by the glass that they recommend to go with it (21 each); I think that that's what most of the people were having, and it is worth doing.

The set menus seem to be varied through the year. We had the Late Spring Menu, which was Gazpacho soup, then a choice of scallops or fois gras, then sea bass, then either pigeon or lamb, then vanilla rice pudding, then either chocolate or raspberry souffle. I'm not even going to attempt to remember the wine, but there was a different one with each course. Between us, we had all the dishes, and they were all lovely. The veggie menu looked very good as well, although I didn't have it so I can't remember the details. The à la carte menu is made up of the same dishes as the set menus, but in larger portions, plus a few extras as well.
