Canteen or cafe style service — the staff really aren't hugely focussed on making you feel comfortable. They don't seem to have a clear policy about whether you pick your own seat or wait to be seated. They bring all the party's food at different times, and clear plates before everyone's finished, and whip your wine bottle away the minute you've finished.

But the food is very nice, and exceptionally well-priced. I had the regular thali at £6.50 or something — a poppadom, couple of chutneys, two vegetable dishes, a dhal, and a choice of vegetable, prawn or meat curry. The prawn curry was pretty good; whole, large prawns with their tails on, and very tasty. Generally, the food wasn't too greasy, which is a nice change from a lot of Indian places. The thali was very well-balanced.
