A very long and drab high road running north-south from the [Green Man Roundabout]? in Leytonstone, through Leyton to Stratford. The Leytonstone end, where a one-way system has been put in place, is marginally better, and home to some good places to eat - such as Petch Sayam - and drink as well as a 24-hour Tesco megastore (a lifesaver).

Nearby features of interest: Wanstead Flats and Bush Wood to the northeast provide excellent nature spots. And... erm... (somebody help me out here).

Transport

Buses: the [257]? is useful, running from [Walthamstow Central Station]? in the north to Stratford Station in the south.

Northern end: Leytonstone Station (Tube), Leytonstone High Road Station (rail).

Southern end: Maryland Station (rail).
