It used to be held under the covered bit to the east of <a href=\"?Islington_Green\">Islington Green</a> every Sunday from 10am till 2pm. The time hasn't changed though. Things like game pies, fresh vegetables, &#8220;home-grown&#8221; apples and pears, goats' cheese and so on.  Almost like a little piece of <a href=\"?Borough_Market\">Borough Market</a>.  Some of the stalls aren't immediately obvious &#8212; you need to head south through the stalls down <a href=\"?Camden_Passage\">Camden Passage</a> to get to a couple more just opposite the <a href=\"?Camden_Head,_N1_8DY\">Camden Head</a>.</p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http://www.lfm.org.uk/isling.asp\" class=\"external\">London Farmers' Market page for Islington Farmers' Market</a> (seems a little over-optimistic about the number of participants though)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Highlights include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mere Fish Farm &#8212; smoked trout and eel, rather good fresh rainbow trout (not always there though)</li>\n<li>Wight Salads &#8212; a good variety of decent tomatoes, roasted cherry tomatoes in oil</li>\n<li>Artisan Foods &#8212; little savoury tartlets</li>\n<li>The bread stall whose name I don't know &#8212; good sour French country bread, lovely carrot cake, etc</li>\n<li>The other stall whose name I don't know &#8212; excellent chicken, ham and leek pies</li>\n<li>Vegetable stall &#8212; lovely and reasonably priced mesclun (soft baby salad leaves) in season</li>\n</ul>\n","version":"10","opening_hours_text":"","node_image_licence":"","categories":["Interesting Food Shops","Markets","Pie"],"content":"Islington market has moved to William Tyndale School (behind the Town Hall), Upper Street, Islington.
