The Open Guide to London: the free London guide

A town which is slightly confused as to where it actually is. It has a London phone number (0208) and is in a London Borough (Redbridge), but a postal address of Essex and a local area postcode (IG).

Famous for Ilford Photographic which is actually no longer there, and the Ilford Mamoth, found under the High Street and now in the [Natural History Museum]

Has a large shopping centre and pedestrian precinct. A new leisure centre opened up a couple of years ago with lots of restaurants and a decent cinema.
