I was not disappointed.</p>\n<p>I found out that this pub will be taken over by the independent brewers Shepherd Neame in two weeks time (<a href=\"?IvorW\">IvorW</a> visited on 19th Feb 2004). This page (and the pub) needs a revisit after the takeover is complete.</p>\n<p><em>Pub recce needed - <a href=\"?IvorW\">IvorW</a> 10 Sep 2004</em></p>\n<h4>Beers</h4>\n\n<p>3 handpumps, only one active with K&B Sussex Bitter at �2.50/pint. The beer was in tip top condition though. Now Sheps - <a href=\"?Fix_Please\">Fix Please</a></p>\n<h4>Food</h4>\n\n<p>Sausages and mash. But this will be changing with the new owners.\n<a href=\"?Fix_Please\">Fix Please</a></p>\n<h4>Layout</h4>\n\n<p>Downstairs is a long thin main room, with an annexe at the back with 3 additional alcove tables.</p>\n<p>A narrow staircase leads to the upstairs rooms.
