Another branch of the Gourmet Burger Kitchen chain of upmarket burger restaurants. I highly recommend the GBK - the food is cheap by restaurant standards, and service is good. My burger came medium rare and with generous quantities of a blue cheese sauce with identifiable lumps of stilton in. This is one burger chain where the burgers actually look like their photos in publicity material. They taste delicious, too.

Burgers range in price between �5-7, "fries" (they're chips really) are �2, drinks are �1.50-�2.50, milkshakes come in pints and are rather tasty. The selection of twenty or so burgers includes three vegetarian options.

Facilities are clean and well-appointed. Service is fast and friendly. Disabled access is good. The restaurant itself is air-conditioned. Seats about fifty.

I'm guessing it's in Category: American due to the style of food, but the owners are actually from New Zealand. The New Zealand Burger is a great Aussie-style burger. Like Pavlovas and Lamingtons, Kiwis claim ownsership of our burger style. But they can have Russell Crowe back :P
