Very straight Roman road running northwest from Marble Arch, under the Marylebone Flyover up to where Saint John's Wood Road crosses it, at which point it becomes Maida Vale. South of the flyover it is crossed by Harrow Road, Praed Street and Sussex Gardens.

The Edgware Road forms part of the A5.
