The station was refurbished sometime around the turn of the millenium, and has exceptionally clear signage in the concourse area, a small WH Smith, a baguette shop, a branch of Timpson's (key-cutting, trophy engraving and dry-cleaning) and a Costa Coffee. There are some exceptionally ordinary "Quick Stop" snack shops on the platforms, too, all run by the same franchise and selling sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee. There are three cash machines outside the west exit to the station, next to a risky bike-park.
