A busy station on the South Central Trains lines from Victoria and London Bridge to various out-of-London destinations such as Gatwick Airport, Brighton, East Grinstead, Tattenham Corner etc.

The station was refurbished sometime around the turn of the millenium, and has exceptionally clear signage in the concourse area, a small WH Smith, a baguette shop, a key-cutter's shop and a Costa Coffee. There may be some stuff on the platforms, too. There are three cash machines outside the west exit to the station, next to a risky bike-park.

Tramlink services also stop outside the station. And some buses.
