Evening Standard pub of the year 2003.

Sofas and things in the pub bit. Reasonable size patio out back (about 30 people or so) with heaters and big mechanical blind bits.

No cider except in bottles, bah, I want my fizzy goodness.

Food expensive but pretty good. I remember enjoying the home-made fish cakes very much on a previous visit. Justin's crab and asparagus linguine looked and smelt very very good indeed. Pricy though only to match the quality — starters around £6, mains around £12.

Lunch Menu wasn't so bad (Aug 03.) About 5ukp for a steak sandwitch (both big and high quality meat.) 6.50uk for a giant bowl of ceasar salad that was also very good.

Bowls of chips are reasonably prices and quite large for the money (for Islington at least)
