A high frequency tram route currently being planned to connect Camden and King's Cross with Peckham and Brixton, via Bloomsbury, Holborn and Waterloo.
The route is scheduled for completion by 2011, having been given the go-ahead by Mayor Ken Livingstone. 92% of the respondents to the consultation on the project were in favour. The route is expected to carry 72 million passengers a year at a capital cost of around �300 million. Transport for London have a small information page on the project.
