The intention of this category is to index pubs that offer something more than just sandwiches and crisps; even the ones where the quality is not quite up to what it could be, sometimes it's useful just to be able to find somewhere close to you that you can get a reasonably filling dinner. Recommendations for pub food that is worth travelling for can go below; pub food that's good but perhaps not worth a special journey will probably get recommended on the locality pages instead (see the locales list for a list of these).
Guide recommendations
- The Andover Arms in Hammersmith does good Thai food and is a very cosy little place tucked away in the back streets.
- The Star in Belgravia is good for those who like steaks and sausages, and serves the best mashed potato that Kake has ever had in a pub.
- The Windsor Castle in Notting Hill is pretty good; nice mussels. Also best sausages Billy has had in ages, served individually or by the bowl.
