London is and has been for many centuries, a centre for journalism. Despite globalization and relocation to the provinces, London is still the UK's centre of the media world.

Traditionally, newspapers were written, edited and typeset in Fleet Street, but since Rupert Murdoch moved production of his papers: The Times, The Sun, The News of the World, to Wapping, and others have followed suit, Fleet Street is a historical relic of the newspaper centre it was. Reuters has its headquarters on Fleet Street.
