- Nearest Tube station: Old Street
I stumbled upon this hidden-away coffee shop and cafe today whilst walking to Old Street from Liverpool Street Station. The Basement Coffee Shop is located in Zetland House, a converted-warehouse office development; to get to it you have to go into the building's courtyard, down the stairs opposite the entrance and through the basement, where you'll see a room walled with glass bricks, which is it. The Basement Coffee Shop is small and cosy, and its obscure (almost secretive) location makes it a nice spot to get off the street for a while and rest on their sofa.
