Terminating trains
All Metropolitan Line trains terminate here, but it is a 50% chance whether you get a cross platform interchange with the Circle Line trains continuing. If you want a Circle Line, you are better off changing at Liverpool Street.
It's also very handy to get an empty train during peak hours, westbound.
Exits
There is only one exit, which comes out on Aldgate High Street.
Where To Alight
- Metropolitan Line and Clockwise Circle Line: third carriage from the rear
- Anticlockwise Circle Line: third carriage from the front
Architecture and Points of Interest
The building is a shed like structure, with access to the sky at the west side. Platforms project eastwards under the road and buildings.
I believe this is one of the Tube Stations Retaining Original Decor. --IvorW
