Twynholm Baptist Church is a medium sized evangelical church in Fulham. The building is quite a landmark. It is huge, brown and has TWYNHOLM written on the front in four foot white letters, clearly visible as you go down Munster or Dawes Road. It was originally built as a gin house but for some reason never got a license so was bought up and turned into an orphanage and then a church. Some pub-like features remain, such as the beer cellar, but it has been greatly changed over the last century.

Inside the church is quite modern, with some recent restoration projects clearly still underway. It also seems to go on forever with flats above and behind and halls and offices and mysterious doors and stairways round each corner.

The regulars are very friendly and an extremely multi-cultural group of people boasting members from various regions of Africa, Asia (especially Malaysia and the Phillippines), North and South America, Eastern Europe and Australasia.

Among their various regular events is the twice monthly lunch (first and third Sunday of each month) which often reflects the cultural diversity of the church itself. All are welcome and newcomers eat for free, but it only costs 2 a head.

The new pastor seems to be getting himself well established and is a great preacher. He's also very young and friendly and although new to the area, seems to be very much at ease. The worship is lively (although not overly loud) and tea and coffee is served after the service.
