Tokyo City, EC2V 7AY

A japanese restaurant near to The Guildhall.

They offer a variety of dishes from sushi to noodles to currys and other meat and vegetable dishes.

Their business card also claims that they do Teppanyaki.

The restaurant seems to be spread over 3 floors (1 above ground, 1 basement and the ground floor). The ground floor has a sushi bar with seating as well as a raised area with recessed areas, so that you sit on the floor and dangle your legs into the holes, with glass tables.

They have a lunch specials section ranging from 7 for Chicken Teryaki with Miso and rice to 10.50 for the chef's sashimi selection. Tea is included. [Prices as of 200501]

The portions are not overly large but the food is quite good. The sushi is especially good, with this being the sister restaurant of Koi, a former No. 1 Sushi restaurant in London according to the Evening Standard (1999).

I went in on a Friday lunchtime and we could get a table for 4 without booking at 12:30, but if you are definately want to eat their I reccommend booking as it filled up quite quickly. Also, some of the tables on the ground floor are around the corner, and coupled with the low seating it is sometimes quite hard to get the waiting staff's attention --Billy
