Locale Streatham
Streatham is south of the river in Zone 3. It is served by 3 mainline stations with regular services to Victoria, London Bridge and King's Cross. The stations are Streatham, Streatham Common, [Streatham Hill]?. There are long-term plans for extending the Croydon Tramlink up to the High Road. There were plans to extend the East London line to Streatham but these have now been scrapped.
The main part of Streatham is Streatham High Road. This is where most of the shops and pubs are located. It has been voted Britain's worst high street.( I feel this was relatively unfair - bob, same here, it is improving DanGravell). Most high street chains such as WHSmith, Boots and Woolworths are represented. There is an 8-screen Odeon cinema.

- The Goose - relatively cheap and well done up
- The Pied Bull - one of the best pubs in the area
- [The Waterfront]? - superb, relaxed bar on the edge of Streatham Common, also serves food
Numerous new bars and restaurants now serve the High Road between Streatham and Streatham Hill.
