Railway, SW14 8HY

Formerly known as The Railway Tavern, this is a small Badger pub/restaurant to the north of Mortlake Station. The pub entrance is on the north side, half way along the pub.

They now bill themselves as a Bar & Dining Room and have split the pub in half with the front area seemingly for diners and the back for pub goers.

The bar area has a few tables surrounded by chairs and sofas, and a fire at the back. There is not much sitting room and the bar itself is quite small.

The front area is divided into 2 with a few tables upstairs and the rest downstairs at street level. Food looked good and gastro-pubbish.

They serve Badger Ales (I suspect Tanglefoot, Badger Best and a seasonal --Billy) as well as Hofbraeu lagers, Guinness, Stella Artois, Dry Blackthorn and a selection of bottled lagers and ales. Prices range from 2.40 per pint for ale to 2.90 for Guinness/Stella (prices as of 2004-11)

The beer was alright, but was not perfectly kept.

The bathrooms are at the back of the bar end of the pub, reachable after successfully negotiating the seated area.

There is also seating outside.
