Parkland Walk

  • Several areas of north London
  • N4, N6, N10

Parkland Walk is a very long path that runs southwest from [Alexandra Park]? to [Highgate Wood]?, swings southeast through [Queen's Wood]? to [Highgate Station]? and then heads east to Finsbury Park, passing [Stroud Green]? on the way.

Must have a bit of a reputation, because an anonymous visitor comments "a great place to ride your stolen scooter before burning it".

Originally it was the route of the overground railway line connecting Finsbury Park to Highgate and was about to electrified and incorporated into the London Underground tube network as part of the Northern Line at the outbreak of World War II. With the war the work was stopped and the conversion was later cancelled and the line closed.

The Muswell Hill Metro Group are promoting the restoration of the rail link.
