Oxford Tube

This is a coach, not a tube; it goes between London and Oxford 24 hours a day. See also the [X90]?, which does roughly the same thing but stops in slightly different places and doesn't have a loo.

It stops at various places within London, for example Hillingdon, Marble Arch and Grosvenor Gardens (near Victoria). I'm told that some people use it to travel between Hillingdon and Central London, though I can't see why as it is not very comfortable due to there not being enough space between the seats. I'd rather take the real tube and not have to be stuck in traffic with no space to put my knees. See also the Oxford Tube page on the Stagecoach website for more detailed stop info and timetables.

I decided to make this page because Piers was on IRC looking for a pub near an Oxford Tube stop, and Alex knew one. This would be kind of handy information to keep around, so here it is.

Decent Pubs Near Oxford Tube Stops

  • Marble Arch stop
    • The Marlborough Head, W1Y 1WD. It's an Eerie chain pub but they do good food and good beer, and the upstairs isn't too obtrusive. Get off the coach and walk about 200 yards down Oxford Street. There's a right-hand turn, it's just down a side road.
WHICH ROAD ??? PARK ST ? DUKE ST ? CORK ST ?
AND WHY CAN I EDIT YOUR WEBSITE ?;-)

Yeah, huh?

Q: How long does the 'Oxford Tube' ride take on average? A:
