Food

Good traditional food available. Upstairs restaurant with a la carte selection available. Food served 12:00-15:00 on weekdays, 12:00-17:00 at the weekends.

Bar Food is available also downstairs in these hours this includes excellent quality beefburgers, panninis as well as other traditional pub food. They operate a dumb waiter in the back room area.

Service and Ambience

I turned up on a Thursday lunch time. Clientele was a mixture of suits, regulars and tourists in roughly equal numbers.

Can be very busy in the evening, although monday was very quiet.

Layout

Two connected rooms, both with bars. The front area is square, with the back bar leading off into the new extension area.

Upstairs restaurant area during lunch time hours. This is bookable as a function room.

Toilets are downstairs - ladies at the front, gents at the back.

Pub was refurbished in Summer 2005, extending into adjacent premises at the back. They gained space and didn't do to bad a job.
