A small Argentinian restaurant on Croydon High Street.

The food was good, but not fantastic. "Rare" steak arrived medium-rare, accompanied by chips, shredded lettuce and overcooked broccoli and courghette. Obviously Argentinian restaurants should be judged solely on the quality of their steaks, and this one was merely acceptable. Nowhere near as good as that served at Triana or The Star, but this is Croydon we're talking about, so maybe that shouldn't be a surprise. Starters were around �4; steaks were �12-15; other main courses around a tenner (June 2004).

Dessert was a the house speciality: a pancake/ice-cream/caramel/cocoa/liqueur-possibly-cointreau affair that comes highly recommended.

Service was friendly but relaxed. There isn't a no-smoking section as far as I can see.
