Drinks
There were four real ales on, including Deuchars IPA as the guest (others were Bombardier, Pride, & a Youngs). 4.25 for a pint of Deuchars, half a pint of Bombardier, and a packet of crisps. Both beers were excellently kept - halfway through his pint Pete decided that he wanted to live in the pub (apparently Deuchars IPA is Very Good Indeed). Assorted other usual drinks available, & it's a T J Bernard so they should have a decent selection of bottled beers.
Food
Standard T J Bernard menu, i.e. not desperately exciting. Didn't eat food so can't comment beyond that.
Service and Ambience
T J Bernard pub, so lots of pub tat from the standard pub-tat-vendors, clearly bought by the truckload. Lots of nooks and crannies, wood panelling, etc. However, it is properly-aimed pub tat - because it's Greenwich, it's all maritime stuff, bits of boat, etc. It's not exactly vastly atmospheric, as it is clearly deliberately designed to look like a 'proper pub', but it's not bad. A perfectly decent place to have a drink in. Has a nice-looking beer garden. No music (on a Friday late afternoon). Very pleasant staff.
Non-smoking section available, but there's no proper divider of any sort between smoking & non-smoking. Board games also available to borrow.
