A fine Fuller's pub, part of it's Ale and Pie House brand. The selection of beer, both draft and bottled, is excellent and the ales are very well kept.
The food was tasty enough although is rather more pub grub than gastro pub. Main courses ranged from 6-8 GBP (Sept 2004). Both the burgers and sausage & mash received positive comments.
I imagine it could be very busy on Friday nights however it was pleasently quiet of a Sunday afternoon.
