Conkers

Conkers are horse chestnuts, the fruit capsules of the horse chestnut tree, and are collected in autumn for use in the traditional English game of the same name.

Where in central London is a good place to get conkers?

Um... under a horse chestnut tree? If you'd asked a bit earlier, you could have come round to my place - there's a big one outside my window.... -- Earle

But, Earle, you don't live in Central London, and neither do I. However, I remember that Regent's Park has quite a number of horse chestnut trees. IvorW
