Meat. That's the basic premise of this "authentic" BBQ place in Soho. Specialities are ribs (3 kinds), pulled pork, beef brisket, salt beef, and, on Mondays and Wednesdays, burnt ends (the ends of beef slow cooked in BBQ sauce).

There are two parts to this restaurant - the more casual upstairs diner (order at the counter), mainly focussing on huge sandwiches and combos, and the rib room downstairs, which is slightly more expensive, and does steaks as well as BBQ specialities. It feels as though it's trying the Americana tip a bit too hard, but you can forgive that for the meat.

There's little to interest (or to feed) a vegetarian here - an onion tart as a starter (plus fish if you're that way inclined).

To a non-authentic UK meat eater, the actual meat can be a bit bland, but it is definitely tender, and, well, meaty. In my mind, go for boston butt rather than pulled pork (gives you pork plus a vinegary sauce). Burnt ends wern't the crispy treat I expected, but with a side of ribs, made for a brown plate special. The fries are great, and the beans are, well, very brown, with added bacon.
