A Sam Smith's pub, which means that the beer is good and cheap - the usual array of house bitters, lagers, wheat beer and cider. The staff are usually friendly and there's a nice atmosphere, especially if you go upstairs (which doesn't open until 5.30pm). The food has had generally good reviews from friends - i can't speak for myself as i'm vegan but there are good veggie options and the chips are very nice! All in all it's a nice, relaxing place to have a pint most nights of the week although Fridays are very busy.
