This is a fairly standard City sandwich bar, offering a selection of fairly standard and fancy fillings at an obscene price. However, this one has a couple of things that make it stand out:

1) Steak sandwiches - when they do you a steak sandwich, you get a steak that they cook in front of you, slice and then put between a couple of pieces of the random bread of your choice. If you ask for cheese, they'll melt some cheese enough to spread it on, and wack a load of that on as well. It'll set you back 4.50-5 though...it looks worth it.

2) Hot food - (I've only tried one dish, but I've been told that they're almost all as good - [Billy]) Seemingly universally good, with pasta + sauce dishes available daily, as well as new specials every few days. The chicken rice and roasted veg is pretty good. They'll set you back 4-6.

NB: The guys working here are happy. I mean really happy. Maybe too happy... If you are annoyed by constant bad jokes, hiding your change, pretending to misunderstand you order and other Fun, then this may not be the place for you. However, if you are impervious to such things, taking along a more irritable cow-orker and letting them rip can be a fun distraction. Take note, however, that if you do go along with them and are friendly back, then you may well find an extra bit of cake or something in your bag...that is as long as you don't have a run in with the chicken Nazi.

According to the bag I just got my lunch in, they have another branch at Unit 24, Aldgate Barrs, London E1 7PJ
